It is welcoming, comfortable, practical and a peaceful place to stay away from town's traffic noise and yet so close to everything you might need as a visitor.
Medlar House has a modern, simple and spacious decor which aims to give the guests plenty of space to move around and feel at ease. The stairs, landing and the bedrooms are carpeted throughout. Downstairs, the hall, dining room and the living room has floor boards.
Wireless internet access is available.
ROOMS: Two double and one single bedroom upstairs. Double bedrooms have double beds and the single room has one single bed.
LIVING ROOM: Downstairs with a leather sofa, a double sofabed, a cable TV.
BATHROOM: The bathroom is upstairs and has a bath with a hand held shower.
DINING ROOM: Downstairs looking over the back garden. It consists of a self standing shelf unit, a dining table and chairs. Depending on the demand this room may be turned into a single or double bedroom by interchanging the sofabed with the dining table.
KITCHEN: Kitchen is recently being painted and it is in the process of being converted into a fitted kitchen. However it is fully functional for all your cooking needs. Currently it holds a sink, a washing machine, a new cooker, a toaster, a microwave, a freezer and a fridge. There is also a table for tea/coffee making facilities. It opens up to the dining room.
EXTENTION ROOM: This room is only available in summer time and it might be suitable for large parties whose stay is short termed. There is also a downstairs toilet in the extention.
FRONT GARDEN: There is small garden in the front with grass and a bench.
BACK GARDEN: There is a large garden at the back which is also in the process of being renovated. It has a table and chairs for guests who enjoy open air or for smokers.
OPENING TIMES:
Medlar House is open throughout the year, including Christmas and New Year's. Enquiries are welcome for any specific needs.
PARKING:
A free off street communal parking available.
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
Bed linens, towels,basic toiletries; soaps, toilet paper, shower cream, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments.
PETS:
Medlar House would welcome pets. For dogs please ask beforehand what type of dog you would like to bring.
Local amenities, a convenience store, chemist, surgery, it in or takeaway restaurants (Chinese, Indian, Fish and Chips), local bus stop, river only within a couple of minutes walk away it is well equipped to serve your needs when away from home.
BOOKINGS:
Bookings can be as short as one night to several weeks or even months. Discount is available on long term bookings.
Full payment should be completed at at least one month before the arrival date. A deposit of 30% should be expected to be paid at the time of the booking.

NIGHTLY RATE from £125 to £145 (sleeps up to 7/8 people).
Tariff includes the use of 2 double bedrooms, one single bedroom and double sofabed in the living room. In the summer time, the extention also can be used as an additional bedroom.
