Newtonmore sits between the Cairngorm and Monadhliath
mountain ranges and is a great location to enjoy the excellent attractions of
the Cairngorm National Park and beyond. The stunning scenery of the surrounding
Spey Valley area will be well known to televison viewers of the series "Monarch
of the Glen".
From hill walking and fishing, from watersports to golf,
mountain biking to mountain climbing, there is always something to see and do in

Steading 5 has 2 bedrooms and is able to accommodate a
maximum of 4 adults plus an infant.
The open plan ground floor has ample kitchen, lounge and
dining areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with a double electric oven,
microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A washing machine and ironing facilities are
also available.
An additional washing machine and a tumble dryer are
available in a laundry room on the other side of the courtyard shared with the
other properties.
An additional cloakroom with toilet and wash hand basin is
available on the ground floor.
The lounge area is equipped with a radio/CD player, satellite
TV and a DVD player. Books, traditional board games and information about the
local area are also provided for your enjoyment.
There are 2 comfortable bedrooms, a double and a twin. The
double bedroom has a skylight window with views to the mountains. There is
hanging space and storage for clothes in both bedrooms.
The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, plus basin
and toilet.
Owners Tips
Newtonmore is in the Cairngorm National Park at the junction
of the A9 Perth to Inverness road and the A86 to Fort William. Balvatin
Cottages are at the southern end of Newtonmore on the village approach road.
Steading 5 is a short walk from the railway station and
Citylink bus stop. The shops, bars, restaurants and cafes located on or just off
the Main Street, everything within the village can be reached within a leisurely
15 minute stroll of the Steading.
By Train:
Newtonmore has a regular service from Edinburgh, Glasgow and
London on the main line to Inverness. The station is less than half mile from
Steading 5. The overnight sleeper from London Euston, has a scheduled stop in
Newtonmore at or just after 7am on a daily basis.
By Bus:
The Scottish citylink bus service operates throughout the day
from Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow en route to Aviemore and Inverness.
By Air:
The nearest airport is Inverness. The airport is used by
Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, British Midland and Flybe. Cars can be hired
at the airport.
