West Coast, Ullapool and even the far north towns of Tongue, Thurso, Wick and
the Scrabster Ferry to the northern isles, or a visit to John O Groats.

Football: Supporters are fortunate to have two excellent
football teams within 12 miles, Ross County in Dingwall and Inverness Caley
Thistle.
Fishing: Anglers can experience some of the best fishing in
Scotland at realistic prices. There are numerous hill lochs for brown trout,
salmon rivers and rainbow trout fisheries all within easy reach. Advice
available about reservations and locations.
Clay Pigeon Shooting: Is available at local gun clubs
depending on their fixture list. Highland Deephaven gun club and Loch Ness Gun
Club are all nearby.
Golf Courses: Are numerous in the area and open to visitors.

Twitchers: The area abounds with many birds of prey as well
as the other rare species. We sometimes watch Red Kites from our window. I've
taken photographs of Buzzards, Waxwings and Fieldfares in our garden in addition
to all the usual garden birds.
Rail Journeys: From Dingwall are excellent, either to shop in
Inverness, take the beautiful journey to to the West coast on the West Highland
Line or travel to Scotland's most northerly mainland towns of Wick and Thurso.
Special train journey tickets available which allows you to visit Aberdeen, Kyle
of Lochalsh and Thurso all in a few days. Weekly visits from the Royal Scotsman
in summer and an annual visit from a Steam Train.
Work: You may not be on holiday or interested in sports or
hobbies.... you have to work. In that case we will try to make you as
comfortable as possible.
