Harris is the southern-most part of the Island of Lewis & Harris with a population of around 2200 people. It has a unique flora & fauna and incredible unspoilt visas - some people describe it as being like "the-surface-of-the-moon" with rocky bays and headlands on the East coast and magnificent empty "machair" beaches and sand dunes on the Western Atlantic coast. While in the south between Harris and North Uist is the marine paradise of the Sound of Harris, striated with rocks and islets and abundant with seals, basking sharks, puffins, cormorants.
