Built as a Gentleman's House in 1632 from reclaimed Caen stone, local flint and fine oak timbers with mullioned windows, wide inglenook hearths and generously proportioned rooms this old Mayor's home has entertained guests for centuries.
The character of the house has been carefully preserved to retain the best features and each comfortable room meets the exacting needs of the modern traveller.
Good taxi availability and regular city bus route nearby. Perfect for visiting the Norwich Cathedral, The Forum, the Norman Castle, Norwich Market, riverside walks, numerous restaurants and bars, theatres, antique shops, books shops and two shopping malls.
The Old Hall is ideally placed for exploring the Norfolk countryside and the Norfolk Broads for sailing, bird watching, walking, fishing and golf.
Room rates include delicious, locally sourced full English breakfast, fish or Vegetarian alternatives.
The individual bedrooms feature superb beds made up with crisp white linen and have direct dial telephone, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities; whilst the bathrooms boast powerful showers, large baths some with spa/whirlpool bath.

For finding us using SatNav, please set to NR6 7HG, house number 20 (please note that no house number appears outside the house!). Alternatively, if you take the outer ring road until the roundabout signed for North Walsham, take this road (the B1150). At the traffic lights turn left into George Hill, in front of the Woodman's Pub. Go to the end of George Hill, turn right on to the Spixworth Road.
Continue through Old Catton, passing the Maid's Head pub on the left, until you reach the junction with traffic lights. Turn left here into Lodge Lane and we are immediately visible on the right hand side.
